Jack Lunn Construction will be breaking ground on a new 29,000 ft extension to an existing warehouse facility for one of the largest ethnic and oriental wholesale food distributers in Europe. P&B Foods Ltd, based in Bradford, has appointed the Pudsey-based contractor to built the single storey steel frame structure over a four month period.
The scheme will deliver much needed additional capacity at P&B Foods Ltd’s existing 80,000 sq ft distribution centre on Planetrees Road near Bradford City Centre, adding more pallet positions at the facility, which supplies a range of multi-national products to over 2000 retail and wholesale outlets in the UK.
This latest project comes hot on the heels of an 86,000 sq ft warehouse that Jack Lunn Construction successfully completed for refrigeration specialist George Barker & Company Ltd in nearby Idle.
Stephen Bradbury, Managing Director of Jack Lunn Construction added: ‘We are delighted to be awarded this important contract with P&B Foods. We will be utilising specialist in-house skills and experience to ensure that our client receives the best value product in a competitive market place. The project builds upon our experience successfully delivering distribution premises, especially in live environments where maintaining continuity of operation for our client is paramount’.
