The Board of Trustees at Ashville College, an independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 4–18 years in Harrogate, appointed Jack Lunn Construction following a competitive tendering and interview process.
The £350k project focused on the refurbishment and modernisation of the three-storey Norfolk House building, which houses 40 senior girls aged 13-18, the Housemistress and her family, three resident tutors and a resident matron.
Working across the basement, ground and first floors, Jack Lunn Construction refurbished and renovated bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas. Working sensitively to repair the fabric of the building, the project included the installation of a new M&E system to enhance efficiencies and reduce the running costs of the facility.
It was essential that Jack Lunn Construction delivered the works between the end of the previous academic year and the start of the current academic year resulting in an extremely tight fast-track programme.
The delivery of this complex programme with an immoveable deadline at the start of the new academic year required both robust planning and a strong relationship with the client. Early involvement in the project enabled Jack Lunn Construction to play a key role in the overall delivery team, resulting in a high quality refurbishment, executed on time and within budget to Ashville College’s exacting standards. For more information please contact the Marketing Department on 0113 236 2777.
