To replace the old school, which had been demolished, this new-build primary school required an assembly hall/sports hall, six classrooms, a teachers’ common room, kitchens, a library, offices, changing facilities, a playground, and associated hard and soft landscaping, including car parking. We employed a steel-framed structure, with traditional brick and block. Despite being carried out in term-time, careful planning ensured minimum disruption to the staff and the 250 pupils.
