Under a Partnering agreement, Phase One of this project was to construct a new build surgery attached to the existing medical centre which was in constant use, and following its completion Phase Two involved the remodelling of the existing surgery and pharmacy to create a larger medical centre and pharmacy complex.
One of the keys factors ensuring the projects success was effective communication between all parties enabling the Practice Manager to answer any questions posed by the client. Jack Lunn (Construction) Ltd’s building knowledge and expertise played a major role in developing the construction process and assisted in influencing fundamental design features such as the coordination and appearance of security roller shutters in conjunction with lintels, aluminium window and door frames and complimenting the new roof with the existing structure.
Jack Lunn (Construction) Ltd was able to value engineer many elements of the scheme and with open discussions the three leading partners (client, consultant and builder) could agree mutually acceptable proposals which met the intended use and maintained costs below the budget. The net result being that all parties had the benefit of shared savings.
