Jack Lunn (Properties) Ltd secured the PFI contract to acquire and develop land on behalf of North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for a fire station and training centre in York & Easingwold. Jack Lunn (Construction) Ltd was appointed to carry out the new build works on a design and build basis.
Both projects were owned, operated and managed by Jack Lunn (Properties) Ltd for the benefit of the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
The training centre was designed to meet all of North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service’s training requirements, offering many specialist facilities not widely available elsewhere in the UK.
The centre is now classed by the local authority as an example of excellence for the Yorkshire region; as a result of its success, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service trains recruits from other fire services, including Selby and Humberside.
