This project required the demolition of a public house and the construction of a five-storey, mixed-use residential and retail development at a busy junction in Leeds. The 30,000 sq ft scheme features three ground-floor retail units, 24 apartments with lift on the upper three floors, and undercroft parking for 16 vehicles.
Using a concrete frame for the first two storeys, with timber-frame construction for the third, fourth and fifth floors, Jack Lunn (Construction) Ltd added a mixture of external finishes including brick and block, cedar-board cladding and through-colour rendering. The site is immediately bounded by highways and other residential and commercial buildings.
